This was a perfect experience & introduction to the Cote de nuits.
Our tour guide was David, and he was an exceptionally knowledgable tour guide who gave us a detailed deep dive into the region.
David picked us up at our hotel in Beaune, drove us up the cote de nuits.
What I loved about this tour was along the way to any of our locations David would either point out or stop the car so we could understand the importance of the area & take photos to remember it.Our first stop was a cellar in Fixin, where we tasted a number of wines from the cote de nuits & had a detailed conversation on what made them special & any differences between the regions.
We then went to our second stop to do a tasting at a gevrey chambertin producer.Along the way back we took a brief stop at a castle in vougeot to take photos & check out the scenery.
What made this tour extra special was having such a insightful tour guide who had a great background in wine & the region.... who was able to answer all our questions & teach us so much about the region!
Great experience with regard wine making progress, the Burgundy regions and lunch location. A little disappointed, we did not find an okay chardonnay that we were looking for.

The tour was very good, impossible to see so many iconic estates otherwise explanations and guide were also good, good empathy and great competence.
However, the visits can be improved, less commercial and more on the production side. I appreciate the objective of selling some wine, however the two visits were too extreme in that sense.
Visiting a producer, walking through vineyards, would add to the magic.

Tom made this trip more than you could ever expect. I initially booked for the Cote du Beaune experience but because we were in Dijon, they easily rebooked us for Cote de Nuits. There is a reason this one of the best wine regions on earth and any doubts were quickly put to rest. This trip was first rate from hotel pick up to drop off. Tom's sense of humor matched my own making this experience one of a kind. All jokes aside, Tom is very knowledgeable and seamlessly weaves this knowledge throughout the tour effortlessly. The wine club we visited was the type of venue you hope for but don't always get. The ranges of tastings was impressive. After this stop, the vineyard tour was impressive. Hard to argue that winemaking is done right and done well in that region. The second winery was equally as impressive and would go again in a heartbeat. This private tour was much more like hanging out with your friends than stuffy guided tours you may be used to. When I go back to this region, Tom and this company will be the first and last booking to be made.
