Château du Petit Thouars

Built in the 15th century, this property has been in the Aubert du Petit Thouars de Saint-Georges family since 1636, and with the exception of around thirty years, has always been planted with vines.
The wines have been AOC Chinon since 2016, and the winery has been certified organic since 2022.
Our approach preserves and stimulates the ... ecosystem:
The vines are inside and just outside the Château grounds, and as a result we take care to limit inputs as much as possible, especially as a beekeeper has hives on the winery, and the animals often come to nestle and feed in the grounds.
The grapes are harvested by hand, and we always aim for the greatest possible ripeness, which will enable us to make harmonious, delicious wines. see more
