Château Saint Hilaire

Big thanks to Julien who made this visit and tasting so interesting. We felt very welcomed. The appetizers that he had prepared for us were so tasty and the (10) wines that we had for tasting were great and really showcased the diversity of the terroir and vines of this domain.

The tasting was great. The property of the winery was beautiful and a nice place to be. The young lady who took us through our tasting (sorry I didn't catch her name) was lovely and very personable and she made our experience all the more enjoyable. The wines were tasty and at times quite interesting and I'm glad we came here for our only tasting in the Provence region. Tasting cost could perhaps be a little more affordable, in line with many other wineries but I do understand the time and care taken when providing such tasting experiences.

It was a magical experience. Tasting of excellent wines in a dream location, practically in the barrels, with an excellent cutting board of cold cuts and cheeses and a very expert and kind guide! My family of four had an incredible wine tour and tasting experience at Chateau Saint Hilaire. We enjoyed 10 different wines, 4 whites and 3 of each of the rose and red wines, which were paired with an assortment of charcuterie and appetizers. Our guide Julien was hospitable and courteous throughout the entire experience. He was patient with the variety of questions we asked, which as non-wine experts, we appreciated. We even decided to stay for dinner at the restaurant located on the property (which I highly recommend). The staff was kind enough to let us wait for 2 hours on the property for the restaurant to open and remained attentive throughout our entire stay. 10/10 experience overall! A very calming environment and a great tour for people who do or don’t know much about wine.

We werden aangenaam ontvangen. De rondleiding was ook prima en we kregen 10 wijnen te degusteren (4 wit, 3 rosé, 3 rood). Er waren ruim voldoende hapjes voorzien (kazen, charcuterie, fruit). Op zich was dit allemaal prima maar er was een groot nadeel : de proeverij gebeurde rechtstaand aan de balie in de winkel wat het heel onpersoonlijk maakte. Tussentijds kwamen er klanten wijnen kopen terwijl je zelf aan een degustatie bezig was. Nochtans heeft dit domein een feestzaal waar veel trouwfeesten worden georganiseerd en een eigen restaurant met terras. Een tip voor de organisatie : doe uw degustatie in de tuin/terras zodat de mensen die eraan deelnemen geen 2u moeten rechtstaan en vooral niet continue bekeken worden. Toch een minpuntje.

Nous avons pu profiter d’une visite et d’une dégustation d’une dizaine de vins qui fut des plus agréables, d’autant que nous n’étions que mon conjoint et moi-même. Les vins sont de qualité, la planche servie avec l’est également. Enfin, les conseils et l’accessibilité du responsable de la boutique ont grandement été appréciés. Tout cela à un tarif très correct. Merci!!
