Cadre magnifique, guide passionnant et adorable

From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed. Our tour of 6 was hosted by a guide who was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the House of Lafond, one of the newest champagne houses owned by a family immersed in viticulture throughout France. The cool cellar in the grounds was a welcome release from the 35degree heat, Sabrage was well executed! The history of the renovated chateau was interesting. We had three generous tastings, Brut traditionally, a blanc de blanc and a 2014 Vintage, all delightful. The House is at the top of the hill of the Avenue de Champagne, allow a good 30 minutes if you are planning to walk from Épernay, we would recommend that you don’t plan to drive home! The 50Euros each may seem expensive but the personal nature of the Tour and the opportunity to discuss the Champagnes was worth it.

Très bon accueil, explications claires, super château à découvrir. L'apprentissage du sablage est une très bonne idée. Nous aurions aimé une petite vidéo sur le déroulement de la récolte à la vente. Très bien dans l'ensemble.

We had the BEST tasting and sabre experience. It is a stunning chateau with incredible champagne and hosts. Can not recommend highly enough!

Nous avons fait une dégustation chez Comtesse Lafond et c’était parfait. Merci à Mael pour sa sympathie et ses renseignements tant sur le champagne que sur l’histoire du Domaine. Nous venons chaque année et c’est toujours un plaisir. A l’année prochaine donc :)

We have experienced the visit last week which was very interesting, well organised and with a lot of information regarding the wine production. We will return again in September for sure with our friends

Exceptional educational tour, Julian was awesome. He eloquently went through the history of the champagne and a wonderful tasting highly recommend it.

Très belle visite et notre guide Marine était charmante. Elle porte haut les couleurs de cette belle maison de Champagne. Le lieu est splendide avec un parc arboré qui contraste avec les autres maisons de l'avenue de Champagne.

Had a lovely tour/tasting at the Comtesse Lafond estate. We got lucky and were in Epernay when this free event was held and it did not disappoint. It included champagne as well as still wine and fruit liquors tasting (the company also produces still wines/ liquors in other parts of France) with various tasting stations set up throughout the cellars and the castle.Everybody was very friendly and the ambiance was great.Stocked up at the end of the tour to bring some of the deliciousness home with us. Highly recommend! Thank you for a lovely experience :)
