Tour of art with explanation of wine & tasting
By Karen for Art & Wine 4 months ago 4.0
We had a lovely visit today for our first time in the region. Pauline was a wonderful guide explaining the art & wine for an hour and a half to make it interesting and informative. Beautiful wine tasting. The chateau is interesting but you can only go around it, not inside.
A place full of wonderful stories
By Grace for Art & Vin 5 months ago 4.7
This winery is gorgeous and surrounded by modern art. Wide open spaces to roam and wonderful stories about the winery, the chateau and the art. Great for a family as the art keeps the kids intrigued. We were rushed at the end (our own fault in timing) so we had to rush through the tasting but we left with two bottles as we really enjoyed it.I would love to return for a wander around afterwards just to check out the art again!

Great art&wine visit

My partner and I are not so much wine experts but we still wanted to include a visit of one of the many Chateaux in the Bordeaux region (we thought it would be a real pity to be in the region and omit the wines completely!). We chose Chateau D'Arsac because it offered a wide range of art pieces, which nicely complemented a classic "how we make wine" tour. The art is strictly related to the owner, his personal life and story and of course many pieces are linked, in their meaning, to the art of making wine as well. The guided tour exceeded our expectations: our guide was very competent and explained everything clearly. The wine we tasted was also excellent. We can certainly recommend this tour to all those wine lovers who also appreciate the added value of the art.

A little disappointing...

Impressive large-scale operation but rather lacklustre tour and guide didn't even introduce herself. No entry to chateau itself. Good quality wines especially the Margaux variety
Delightful!

Our tour and tasting at Château d'Arsac was wonderful! We were greeted at the door and even though it was pouring rain, we saw everything. Our guides knowledge of the château, it's art and the wine process was so broad and well delivered. We learned so much. We really enjoyed the wine and left with 6 bottles. This is a must visit!
