In the 17th century, when Michel Muré settled in Rouffach, south of Colmar, to cultivate vines, he had no idea of the incredible legacy he was preparing for his descendants...
In 1935, aware of the potential for quality, Alfred Muré enriched his properties by acquiring Clos Saint Landelin. He had the dry stone walls restored and the terraces of ... his 12 hectares replanted, benefiting from ideal exposure and protection from the elements.
Today, it is Véronique and Thomas, the 12ᵉ generation, who passionately farm the treasures of this biodynamically farmed monopole and the sumptuous surrounding terroirs. Expressing the terroir in the wines, preserving the heritage and know-how, this is the Muré family's credo: tight planting, ploughing the soil, refusing synthetic chemicals, fermenting with indigenous yeasts, limiting work in the cellar... see more
