About the winery

The historic Château de Rouillac belonged to the famous Baron Hausmann, who acquired the estate in 1864. He commissioned numerous works and linked the horses to the history of Rouillac. He had beautiful stables built. Since then, the estate has produced excellent red wines.

Ines est une guide formidable, capable de vous faire découvrir l'histoire de Rouillac avec beaucoup de légèreté et de dynamisme. La visite est particulièrement intéressante, surtout grâce aux écuries, qui ajoutent une touche unique et originale par rapport à d'autres domaines. Seul petit regret : ne pas pouvoir visiter l'intérieur du château, bien que ce soit compréhensible puisqu'il est habité. La dégustation de vins était agréable, même si un vin un peu plus prestigieux pour clore l'expérience aurait été la cerise sur le gâteau.Une expérience globalement excellente, n'hésitez pas, allez-y les yeux fermés !
